Michelle Sica (Northville, MI, USA)
After nearly 20 years as a stylist at a top salon, I made the decision to stay at home and raise my daughters. This experience changed my life — literally. I made it my job to turn our house into a home. This was everything from the meals I put on the table to the layout and flow of our living to the laundry detergent I used. Every single detail was considered.
A few years later, I spent several years partnering with my husband to manage our business, Jimmie’s Rustics which was a high-end outdoor furniture retail chain in the Metro-Detroit area. During my time working at our store, I really polished my interior design capabilities and started bringing this to other people’s homes. As a self-proclaimed shopaholic, I really seek to find the absolute best quality product at the most reasonable rate that’s available. I am truly a lover of all things beautiful.
Now, I reside in a Metro-Detroit suburb near my adorable granddaughter and I’m bringing the tips & tricks that I’ve acquired over the years straight to you (and your inbox). I do a select number of interior design jobs throughout the year.

Lisa Galletti (CA, USA)
Based in rural northern California, Lisa lives with her husband and son in her Nonna’s house which is surrounded by the family vineyard that her great grandfather planted in the early 1900s. She has proudly earned a degree (and some battle scars) from the Life Isn’t Always Fair University and is often referred to as The Bartender by friends, coworkers and associates. An avid listener, she is keenly sensitive to the plights of others and brings a unique blend of empathy, humor and common sense advice to her clients, friends and family. Lisa’s 20 year career as a payroll specialist for a local college ended abruptly 3 years ago when she was handed a life-altering diagnosis of retinitis pigmentosa; a hereditary, degenerative, eye disease which leads to eventual blindness. Within days she was deemed legally blind, no longer able to drive a vehicle and shunned by her employer. Always practical and never one to back down from a challenge, she simply pulled herself together and made the decision to work from home. Armed with some online research and no business experience, she started her journey as a VA offering administrative support to online accounting professionals. Later, she found her niche in social media marketing and management and in 2018 narrowed her expertise and services even further. She works with solopreneurs and small businesses who are interested in using Pinterest & Facebook to connect with their audiences. A master at social media strategy and engagement, she also offers 1 to 1 guidance and training on a variety of social media apps and platforms.
A lifelong horsewoman, she is the Chief Stall Mucker & Treat Provider for her small herd of miniature horses that she drives and competes with at shows around northern California.

Today, I’m happy to strategize with my clients and provide solutions for the tasks that overwhelm them – social media management, writing blogs, updating or re-doing websites, product launches, research, newsletter creation, short and long-term planning and so much more. Read more here!
Personally… I’m a woman of faith – I spend time daily in prayer. I’m a woman of family – I make sure I spend time with family. I’m a woman who puts my health and fitness on the top of my priority list. In February 2013, after enduring the loss of my mother, my great-grandmother, a friend’s husband and one of my best friends from high school, I woke up with no voice. I thought it was a simple case of laryngitis or bronchitis…turns out it was not simple… it took some time, several doctor visits, specialists, and other non-traditional medical visits to be diagnosed with a condition called Abductor Spasmodic Dysphonia (“AB SD”) – which in and of itself is quite a mouthful. AB SD prevents me from using the phone or speaking normally – it sounds like my voice is incredibly hoarse all the time. I have made many adjustments and adaptations. I am grateful for this experience as it has heightened my sense of hearing and it allows me to really hone in on what others are saying (or perhaps not saying). Read my full bio here!

Lisa Hunt (Chicago, IL, USA)
Lisa Hunt spent her formative years training to become a professional ballerina. At the age of 15, Lisa was one of two students to be accepted into the sophomore class at the National Ballet of Canada (L'Ecole Nationale de Ballet) in Toronto, where she trained in the Vaganova and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) techniques. During her four seasons with Ballet Arizona, she was featured in many ballets, including Swan Lake, Les Sylphides, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Nutcracker, Symphony in C, Romeo and Juliet, Serenade, Company B and world premieres by Ib Andersen. After hanging up her ballet shoes, Lisa was curious to explore the various career opportunities available to transitioning artists and moved to Los Angeles. While in Los Angeles, she had the opportunity to work as an Executive Assistant to the Korean chairman of the parent company of Samsung (CJ Corp), which afforded her many unique insights into the lifestyle and demands of the extremely affluent. Following her career working for CJ Corp, Lisa worked for Bessemer Trust, a private wealth management company, in Los Angeles and Boston – managing the office and planning events for high net worth clients. Lisa also worked for Bessemer remotely, conducting research for Business Development and Philanthropic Advisory. Her experience working in Philanthropic Advisory piqued her interest in fundraising, which led her to a role as Assistant Director of Development at the Hochstein School of Music and Dance. While at Hochstein, she spearheaded the annual campaign, which funded need-based scholarships to under-privileged youth for music, music therapy and dance lessons. Subsequently, Lisa was asked to join her brother’s start-up, Crossrope, as PR Manager/Content Writer, where she helped to grow brand awareness, develop email and ad campaigns and create procedures to increase exposure for Crossrope and its products. Lisa now lives in Chicago where she works as the Executive Assistant to the CEO of a private wealth management company for one of the most affluent families in the nation. As an insatiable “ideas” person with an entrepreneurial streak, Lisa hopes to harness her creativity and one day follow in the footsteps of her brother to launch her own company.

Victoria Thygesen (Ireland)
I am originally from Denmark but have been calling Galway, Ireland my home for almost 11 years. I have always wanted to work for myself, but have changed my mind about WHAT a good few times. I worked as a Self-employed life coach and recently as a Reiki Practitioner too but felt that it still wasn't quite right. I currently work full-time as a Supply Chain Specialist and I'm not hating my job but know that it's not what I want to do long-term. I have made a promise to myself to quit this full-time job end of this year (2019!) so I am 1000% motivated to grow my business(es). At the moment I have two businesses I'm working on; an online store selling yoga wear and a website for my holistic life coaching, where I am currently 'just' doing a weekly motivational blog and focusing on growing my email list. The plan is to then create an online course and promote that to the list. I am very excited about working with Jessica, as she has got some ideas about how I can perhaps combine my coaching skills with the yoga wear and thereby grow both. My vision for next year is to be 100% self-employed and flexible in where and when I work. I am so excited about being part of this group as I know it will help me stay focused and motivated, as well as challenge me to get better and achieve my goals!

Heather Janssens (Ontario, Canada)
Heather hails from Guelph, Ontario and is truly an entrepreneur at heart ever since she was a teenager. She experienced pain early in life when she fled her abusive husband at the time and as a single-Mom, she found immense comfort when local Artisan Business women gifted her and her children items, and it really inspired her to do that for others some day. Since re-building her life, she has dabbled in numerous businesses from creating her own handmade baby items to later an online boutique that sells handmade products for online Artisans. When her anxiety was hard to manage, she found more comfort in the structure and training that direct sales provides and is a rep for Norwex, Silver Icing and recently started doTerra. Since then, she has healed tremendously and is ready to be her own business again! Recently, we discussed how a strong personal brand will set the foundation for her diverse interests and passions. Her main passion with everything in life is helping to positively impact any woman's day and Customer Service and she is currently brainstorming different ways she can incorporate her experience with women's need for self-care, self-love and empowerment into her current direct sales companies she's with, building herself as a brand and anywhere else it can take her. She is also a Customer Service Virtual Assistant on the side because she loves helping Businesses and talking to customers.
She’s joining the group for support in the area of learning how to be authentic, creative and owning your own brand in Direct Sales and how to make money as your own Brand outside of Direct Sales, and to network with all of you!
