Allison Komiyama (San Diego, CA, USA)
Allison is a former FDA reviewer who is an expert in regulatory submissions, quality systems, and biocompatibility evaluation. She started AcKnowledge Regulatory Strategies in order to serve clients who manufacture implantable and other patient-contacting medical devices. She received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Stanford University and her B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology from University of California, Berkeley. She received her Regulatory Affairs Certification (US) in 2014.
While working at FDA as a biologist and reviewer in the Office of Device Evaluation, she acted as a lead reviewer and consult on 510(k) Premarket Notifications, Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) applications and Premarket approval (PMA) submissions. Her specialty was in biocompatibility requirements for implanted devices. She also researched neurotoxicity and systemic toxicity of medical devices in the Office of Science and Engineering Labs in support of FDA recognized ISO and ASTM standards. After her time at FDA, she worked as a project manager and regulatory affairs manager at an in vitro diagnostic device company, as well as a senior regulatory specialist and director of regulatory affairs at two consulting firms.
Allison has worked with clients from all around the world whose companies range from small 2 person startups to large firms with over 40,000 employees. Lisa Galletti (CA, USA)
Based in rural northern California, Lisa lives with her husband and son in her Nonna’s house which is surrounded by the family vineyard that her great grandfather planted in the early 1900s. She has proudly earned a degree (and some battle scars) from the Life Isn’t Always Fair University and is often referred to as The Bartender by friends, coworkers and associates. An avid listener, she is keenly sensitive to the plights of others and brings a unique blend of empathy, humor and common sense advice to her clients, friends and family. Lisa’s 20 year career as a payroll specialist for a local college ended abruptly 3 years ago when she was handed a life-altering diagnosis of retinitis pigmentosa; a hereditary, degenerative, eye disease which leads to eventual blindness. Within days she was deemed legally blind, no longer able to drive a vehicle and shunned by her employer. Always practical and never one to back down from a challenge, she simply pulled herself together and made the decision to work from home. Armed with some online research and no business experience, she started her journey as a VA offering administrative support to online accounting professionals. Later, she found her niche in social media marketing and management and in 2018 narrowed her expertise and services even further. She works with solopreneurs and small businesses who are interested in using Pinterest & Facebook to connect with their audiences. A master at social media strategy and engagement, she also offers 1 to 1 guidance and training on a variety of social media apps and platforms.

Personally… I’m a woman of faith – I spend time daily in prayer. I’m a woman of family – I make sure I spend time with family. I’m a woman who puts my health and fitness on the top of my priority list. In February 2013, after enduring the loss of my mother, my great-grandmother, a friend’s husband and one of my best friends from high school, I woke up with no voice. I thought it was a simple case of laryngitis or bronchitis…turns out it was not simple… it took some time, several doctor visits, specialists, and other non-traditional medical visits to be diagnosed with a condition called Abductor Spasmodic Dysphonia (“AB SD”) – which in and of itself is quite a mouthful. AB SD prevents me from using the phone or speaking normally – it sounds like my voice is incredibly hoarse all the time. I have made many adjustments and adaptations. I am grateful for this experience as it has heightened my sense of hearing and it allows me to really hone in on what others are saying (or perhaps not saying). Read my full bio here!
Craig Bender (Commerce, MI, USA)
Craig R. Bender, a 1977 graduate of Eastern Michigan University, started his advertising and marketing career in radio sales in the Detroit market with WTWR Tower 92 FM, a Golden West Broadcasting property. He would later join WCXI AM/FM Country for one year before moving to WLLZ 98.7 Rock radio (Doubleday Broadcasting) from 1982 until 1987, ultimately becoming Local Sales Manager. In 1987 Craig was named General Sales Manager of CKLW AM/FM Music of Your Life and Oldies where he managed for two years before expanding into television in 1989.
Prior to his move to television, Craig, with partner Steve Scott, opened Professional Selections Inc. in January 1988. PSI, an employment evaluation company that assists organizations in hiring the best individuals based on job descriptions and candidates’ psychological profiles, PSI continues to flourish today.
In January 1992, Craig created Broadcast Selections and Sales, an independent marketing company that represents both clients and media alike. From marketing and advertising to sales training and staff selection processes, Craig has continued to create strategic partnerships that dynamically advance his clients’ objectives.
Craig’s extensive knowledge and relationships in all forms of media, advertising, and promotions has continued to allow him to produce dramatic results for his clients for nearly thirty years.

Julie Ehling (MA, USA)
Based in Massachusetts, Julie has been in property management for the last 11 years, managing residential properties between 200 and 500 units. Working mainly on the financial side, Julie was responsible for collecting rents, handing evictions and making sure the net operating income was in line with the budget all while achieving a high occupancy rate. Recently, Julie has stepped back from the corporate world and purchased her own investment property that she is managing. She has a bachelor of arts degree in Psychology and Business Administration from Lycoming College in Pennsylvania.

Lisa Hunt (Chicago, IL, USA)
Lisa Hunt spent her formative years training to become a professional ballerina. At the age of 15, Lisa was one of two students to be accepted into the sophomore class at the National Ballet of Canada (L'Ecole Nationale de Ballet) in Toronto, where she trained in the Vaganova and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) techniques. Upon graduation, Lisa was offered a contract to dance professionally with Ballet Arizona under the artistic direction of the world-renowned Ib Andersen. During her four seasons with Ballet Arizona, she was featured in many ballets, including Swan Lake, Les Sylphides, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Nutcracker, Symphony in C, Romeo and Juliet, Serenade, Company B and world premieres by Ib Andersen. After hanging up her ballet shoes, Lisa was curious to explore the various career opportunities available to transitioning artists and moved to Los Angeles. While in Los Angeles, she had the opportunity to work as an Executive Assistant to the Korean chairman of the parent company of Samsung (CJ Corp), which afforded her many unique insights into the lifestyle and demands of the extremely affluent. Following her career working for CJ Corp, Lisa worked for Bessemer Trust, a private wealth management company, in Los Angeles and Boston – managing the office and planning events for high net worth clients. Lisa also worked for Bessemer remotely, conducting research for Business Development and Philanthropic Advisory. Her experience working in Philanthropic Advisory piqued her interest in fundraising, which led her to a role as Assistant Director of Development at the Hochstein School of Music and Dance. I currently live in Miami, work for a start up based in Boston and am currently working as part of their TA team. Born and raised in England, I graduated with a ‘Masters in Drama' with a specialism in stand up comedy. I toured across the UK with my comedy show, hosted regular comedy nights and worked on live productions and so this is where my love for conceptualizing experimental ideas, creative writing and project management evolved. For the last 7 years I have been working with premium brands and blue-chip companies across the UK and USA with the primary focus of generating revenue.
